Harmonic Suppression Reactor
Three-phase detuned reactors that work with capacitor banks to suppress harmonics, protect capacitors and improve grid stability.

Product introduction
Overview
SERU harmonic suppression reactors are inductive components designed for three-phase power systems. Connected in series with capacitor banks, they form detuned or tuned filter circuits that help absorb specific harmonic currents and improve the stability of the power distribution network.
Applications
- Detuned power factor correction systems
- Capacitor bank protection
- Industrial power distribution systems with 3rd, 5th or 7th harmonics
- Systems requiring voltage distortion and flicker suppression
Key notes / features
- Customizable tuning for target harmonics such as 3rd, 5th and 7th orders
- Rated inductance tolerance typically within ±3%
- Short-time overload tolerance of 1.2 to 1.5 times rated current
- Low-loss silicon-steel or copper winding design
- Class F or Class H insulation for high-temperature operation
- Optional over-temperature protection for safer operation
Parameters / technical notes
- When used in compensation cabinets, the reactor helps limit capacitor inrush current and reduce harmonic overvoltage stress.
- Over-temperature protection can trigger alarm or disconnection to reduce fire and insulation-failure risk.
